The New Church of the Resurrection

KSDesigns, under its former name Scifi Hifi, recently completed a major project for The New Church Of The Resurrection in Keysborough. The congregation’s spectacular new church was designed by Mark Meaden Architecture and Interiors.

KSDesigns was involved in a two-year design process for the Audio, Video and lighting needs of the new church. Many changes were made to the design during this planning period to ensure that the best possible result and return on investment was being delivered to the congregation.

System handover occurred in time for the 2014 Christmas services. KSDesigns’ Mike Levi supported services in the lead up to and during Christmas ensuring a smooth transition for the congregation into their wonderful new house of worship. The congregation is delighted with their new church and the quality and ease of use of the Audio, Video and Lighting systems.

Audio Mini line array
Audio Digital mixing console and other equipment
Audio Lectern microphones

Crystal clear audio reproduction is handled by two miniature line arrays and a subwoofer hidden behind the acoustic panels above the line arrays. Digital amplification provides system power and processing.

High quality condenser microphones capture audio signals from the Altar, Lectern and Choir, and a radio microphone allows flexibility for Clergy.

A digital mixing console controls audio levels. Multiple system memories provide operators access to a library of different set up configurations programmed by KSDesigns.

The digital mixer and processing amplifiers provide a very short and powerful audio signal path. The result is extremely transparent and high quality audio heard identically at every seat in the church.

Video Motorised projector screen
Video Data projecting laptop and other equipment

Video is beautifully displayed on two motorised drop down screens. Two HD projectors provide video images, and control of the video system is easily achieved via a dedicated wall mounted touch-panel.

Lighting Lighting controller

A 24 channel dimmer allows for banks of lights to be easily controlled and grouped as required.

Complex lighting control is achieved with a programmable touch-screen. This solution is extremely user friendly and allows easy access to custom designed lighting states specified by the architect, and programmed by KSDesigns.
